Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter. She is the author of more than twenty albums. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk-rock and alternative rock but also has influences from punk hip hop, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco was the very first artist to establish her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco has two daughters: Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced at their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal and her father has Italian roots. 32 Flavors is a hit song composed with and performed by Ani DiFranco. The song debuted as the fifth single from DiFranco's 1995 studio album Not a Pretty Girl. A version of the track is featured on the movie soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco acknowledged her apology in 2013, when it was revealed she was hosting the three-day event on an Louisiana former plantation for slaves.
